Whose Streets? Film Screening and Panel Discussion

Join Soil Generation, Philadelphia Student Union and POV for a free screening and conversation around the award-winning documentary film Whose Streets? by Sabaah Folayan and Damon Davis.

Free and open to the public. Food will be available and child care will be provided. Entertainment provided by rap artist TNC laid.

We will be joined by:
(Moderator) Mary Enoch Elizabeth Baxter, also known by her hip-hop name “Isis Tha Saviour,” is a Philadelphia artist who creates socially conscious music through an autobiographical lens.

Sabaah Folayan is an award-winning storyteller who uses written and visual media to bring a fresh perspective to the urgent questions of our time.

Amadu Jalloh is a sophomore at Academy Palumbo High School, active organizer with Philadelphia Student Union and youth organizer for the Police Free Schools Campaign.

Nyseem Smith is a Philadelphia-based community organizer who is focused on youth development.

Shania Morris is a young black queer organizer, born, raised in West Philadelphia. An art and cultural organizer, youth advocate and a firm believer that solutions for black and brown people are rooted in solutions for all.
