INSPIRATION FOR SOUL REGENERATION: HEALING FOR GROWERS

Soul Regeneration was an offering by Soil Generation in August 2022 to our community for a chance to center themselves in a beautiful space to receive tender loving care. With a roster of all femme Black & Brown healing practitioners,  participants were invited to explore a range of modalities such as reflexology, yoga, floral arranging, spiritual readings, clay arts, and facials. 

It felt good to pour into our people, create a space for connection, and provide a platform for and compensate gifted femme practitioners of color. 

This event was our values in practice, centering healing, abundance, and economic justice, as it was free for participants and healers were compensated beyond their typical rates. We were especially proud to produce an event where all parties involved were femmes of color including catering, decor, documentation, and venue support.


We at Soil Generation gained inspiration, confirmation, and resonance through reading Soul Talk together. This quote grounded us in our intention for offering Soul Regeneration to our beloved grower community:

Dear beloved community, thank you so much for participating in our first ever Soul Regeneration. To givers of healing, receivers, and those who practiced both-- we are so grateful for your contribution to a beautiful atmosphere of true community and experimenting with us what collective healing can look like. As organizers of the event, it was truly a sight to behold to see so many Black and brown women and gender expansive people together in a serene atmosphere and being loved on by the land. It was a truly special expression of our journey with our work and theory as a collective of Black & Brown women growers and land organizers. We hope to stay connected with you all as we move through this journey together.
